Crew down Dayton Dutch Lions, 3-0, in exhibition match

The Crew downed the Dayton Dutch Lions, 3-0, tonight in an exhibition match at Baujan Sports Field on the campus of the University of Dayton, thanks to goals by Steven Lenhart, Eddie Gaven and Jason Garey.

The Crew started with a lineup of Andy Gruenebaum, Othaniel Yanez, Kwaku Nyamekye, Jed Zayner, Shaun Francis, Duncan Oughton, Adam Moffat, Leandre Griffit, Emmanuel Ekpo, Steven Lenhart, Sergio Herrera.

An 11 of William Hesmer, Gino Padula, Chad Marshall, Eric Brunner, Frankie Hejduk, Dilly Duka, Eddie Gaven, Robbie Rogers, Danny O’Rourke, Jason Garey and Guillermo Barros Schelotto took the field in the second half.

Crew split pair of scrimmage sessions at Crew Stadium

The Crew took on Duquesne and Louisville in a pair of 45 minute scrimmage sessions this morning under cold, blustery conditions at Crew Stadium. The Black & gold kicked off with a 5-0 win over Duquesne in this morning’s first session, thanks to goals by Duncan Oughton, Emmanuel Ekpo, Kevin Burns and two strikes from Jason Garey. The Crew then took on Louisville, but fell to the Cardinals by a score of 1-0.

After enjoying a bye week off from MLS play last weekend, the Crew returns to action tonight as it faces FC Dallas at Pizza Hut Park.

Crew down Marshall, 5-0, Friday morning in exhibition match

The Crew took on the Marshall Thundering Herd this morning in an exhibition match at Crew Stadium and defeated the Division 1 college side, 5-0, with five different players tallying strikes for the Black & Gold in the second half.
