Rookie defender Andy Iro will be appearing on the Average Joe Sports Show tonight at 8 p.m. on ONN, the Crew’s regional TV broadcast partner and Ohio’s Channel for news, weather, sports and lifestyles programming. (The show is then repeated at 8:30, 11 and 11:30 p.m.) Meanwhile, tomorrow morning, Oct. 21, Pat Noonan will visit the CD101 Morning Show with Joe Jewett, Doctor Smith and Krista Kae at approx. 8:30 a.m.

Tonight’s Game: Crew vs. New York

After playing Toronto FC to a 1-1 draw at BMO Field last Saturday (Sept. 13) the Crew returns home tonight, Trillium Cup in tow, to face the New York Red Bulls in a Thursday Night Primetime match on ESPN2. The match features a Crew squad (13-6-5, 44 pts.) that is current riding a five-game unbeaten streak (4-0-1) and is looking to maintain its spot atop the Eastern Conference Standings, while New York (9-7-8, 35 pts.) visits Crew Stadium hoping to continue its recent rise up the conference standings. The Crew has already matched the club record for most wins in a season in the post-shootout era (since 2000), established by the 2001 squad that went 13-7-6.
